Love the new iPhone 3.0!

Finally, cut-copy-paste, landscape keyboards, MMS of photos and videos, spotlight search and internet tethering!

iPhone has been one of the best purchases I ever made - and this really just makes it better :)

I don't even have to pay the ridiculous Singtel internet charges - what I'm going to do now is this:
1) Subscribe to unlimited broadband internet on my Starhub mobile line for $34.
2) Request for duplicate SIM card for my USB dongle (which I signed up for a 12-month contract a year ago so I can have a dongle) so that Qingru can use it
3) Tether my iPhone unlimited internet to my laptop!

So now for just $35, I have unlimited internet on my iPhone, my laptop, Qingru's laptop! Good stuff.

how's the tethering coming along? also want to know if you bought the iphone from singtel on contract? i.e. you're paying for singtel fixed line as well as starhub contract charges?

It's perfect! No, I bought the iPhone without contract 2nd hand from some Singtel guy. I'm on a normal $30 Starhub corporate plan, with the MaxMobile $5 for $30 worth of data charges value-added service. That tops off at $35, so it's as good as unlimited internet for $35.

Compared to iPhone plan from Singtel at $80+, this rocks :)

I'm not tech support, dear. But if i'm not wrong they disabled tethering from 3.1 onwards.

yeah have to do a lot more to get tethering to work... Read from hardwarezone still cannot get it to work. But at least can surf the internet.
